Y.H ARCHIVE: The Empire of Death - Tommy
£10.00
Noone can deny the bravity and courage of the British men who fought in World War 1, otherwise known as "The Great War." Those who gave their lives on the battlefield for the safety of our nation did so with pride in their hearts and the union jack on their sleeves.
The British soldiers, nicknamed "Tommys", after the classic soldier name of "Tommy Atkins" endured horrendous conditions in the trenches and all over europe between 1914-1918. The cold, wet smokey trenches were filled with the bodies of fallen brothers and shrapnel, yet these couragous soldiers fought on and played their part in the great allies victory.
We pay tribute to the hard fighting, deadly soliders of the past.
May they rest eternally in flanders fields.
